Official-layer variant extends the non-AI ink-hint scanner
The Buscar tinta en el papiro project announced a public official-layer variant for PHerc. 1447 surface volumes. The update says it reads the twenty-one central layers, numbered 5 through 25, from the thirty-one official layers, with usage instructions and an example for segment 20250502180708 in the repository. The tool is described as a non-AI hint scanner: it suggests candidate regions rather than detecting or reading letters. The post identifies an MIT license and invites feedback. This edition reports the release announcement, not a successful local execution, an independent performance comparison or confirmation that any suggested region contains text.
